何翔宇
1986年生于辽宁省
何翔宇的创作实践可以被视作各类个体、社会和政治主题的材料测试场和观念实验室。作为一名在中国迅速城市化时期成长起来的艺术家,何翔宇尝试由物体间的转化体现或引导感知。他曾入围2014年平丘克“未来世代艺术奖”决赛,获得2016年CCAA年度“最佳年轻艺术家奖”以及2016年的“ARTNET新锐艺术家奖”。曾参与的主要展览及展映包括:“全球都市1.5:延展智慧”国际艺术双年展(2018);“故事新编”电影展映项目(电影作品《The Swim》放映),古根海姆美术馆,纽约(2017);卡蒂斯特艺术基金会“土与石,灵与歌”亚洲艺术巡回群展(2016-2018);里昂双年展,里昂(2015);上海双年展(2014);横滨三年展(2014);釜山双年展(2014)等。
He Xiangyu
Born in Liaoning Province, China, in 1986
He Xiangyu’s art practice could be seen as a proving ground or a laboratory of mate-rials and concepts, in which he investigates and engages with a variety of personal, social and political subjects. Grown up from a dramatic period of rapid urbanization in China, He’s practice is centered on representing or manipulating cognitive senses through transformation between different materials. He Xiangyu was named as a final-ist for the“Future Generation Art Prize” (2014), and won the 10th CCAA“Best Young Artist” Award (2016) and the“ARTNET Emerging Artist Prize” (2016). Recent exhibi-tions include: Cosmopolis #1.5: Enlarged Intelligence. Centre Pompidou + Mao Jihong Art Foundation, Chengdu, China (2018); Tales of Our Time Film Program (Screening of the film“The Swim”), Guggenheim Museum New York, New York (2017); Soil and Stones, Souls and Songs by Kadist Art Foundation (2016-2018); Lyon Bien-nale(2015); Fire and Forget: On Violence, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Ber-lin(2015); Shanghai Biennale (2014); Busan Biennale (2014).
