Yu Ding is a doctor of art history and a professor. In 1989, he graduated from the Department of Art History at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2002, he began to participate in preparations for the art management program of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2004, he was awarded the Outstanding Art Talent Award of the Asian Cultural Council, went to the United States to inspect the art management education, and participated in the annual meeting of the Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE) held in Dallas, USA, becoming the only Chinese member to join this international organization. He is currently the dean of the School of Art Management and Education at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
